I originally started out doing traditional art. Painting was my favorite. I mean drawing was something that I felt came naturally to me. I liked painting because of all the colors you could use and it was so easy to spread them across a canvas. I started to think about it and it made me think that I should try digital drawing. When I got to college the thing that intrigued me the most was digital illustration. It was almost like painting but on a computer. I got to try all sorts of different things like photography. Photography made me think about motion. When you use long exposure on a camera, the subject in the photo becomes a blur meaning the subject has moved while the photo was being taken. So then I started to think to myself what if there is a way to use motion in graphic design? Of course, there is. Motion is what makes art very interesting. Whether the artwork is moving or is still, motion is what attracts us. I want my work to always have some sort of movement or motion. I’ve recently developed an interest in UX/UI which I feel has nothing to do with motion and that inspires me to make more apps and websites that have more movement to them, more flow. My art journey has come a long way and I never thought I would go from painting to UX/UI, but I am proud to be where I am today. In the future I see myself either working for someone and making apps and websites for them or making a website for my own business that I plan to start working on and that is selling custom-designed car wrap. It includes the best of both worlds, illustrating and UX/UI.
